About Us...
Dr. Dana E Turner
Dr. Dana E. Turner, a Springfield, Missouri native, completed her undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry at Drury University. She then attended Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2005. Dana returned to southwest Missouri to begin her career and has since worked in various modes of practice, with a passion for private practice and connecting with patients of all ages. After much prayer and searching, she felt called to launch her own practice, "The Village Eye Doc," in April 2024.
Dr. Turner is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Missouri Optometric Association, holding licenses in Missouri and Oklahoma. In 2014, the Springfield Business Journal honored her in their Salute to Healthcare as one of the top optometrists in the Springfield area.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Turner enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has been an avid runner for 15 years, completing several half marathons and a few full marathons. She also loves traveling and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals with her 10-year-old son. Dana, along with her husband Tony and son, is actively involved in ministry at Northbridge Church, where Tony has served as pastor since 2005.
